Hey Everyone, As many of you already know, I have good friend that does side metal Fabrication work. His name is Steve, and he is very interested in making some new After market parts for the PT. With this said, what new After market parts would you like to see us make? Right now, we are working on a custom one off Shifter knob made from a Harley Piston which will be made to fit on my Autostick Transmission. We are also developing a new Forward Tilt Front Hood kit which will be strong enough to hold a metal hood. To give a good idea of what Steve is capable of, Here is his current project: Please let us know of any kind of brackets, or any other Custom parts you would like to see us make! Take it easy! This isn't a BIG part or mod....but in my 7 years of being around the PT scene, I've not seen anyone do these. How about aluminum billet rear window wiper replacements?
Lots of PT's have the L handle, or the T handle. Some have made their own revolving keys, or such.
What if you had a selection of say 10 different figures: waving hand (made like the Foot accelerator pedals), flags, a mount to hold several flags, different people's heads, happy faces, playing cards fanned out, 4 fan blades, a boat prop, a plane prop, Mickey Mouse ears, or even plain ones, that items could be glued to....(I could sit here and come up with another hundred or so, but that would be mute.) They should be ready to mount to the existing wiper blade extention, since they all have the same parts. It's something that EVERYONE driving behind our Cruisers would notice even more, if it were moving back and forth.
There must be a logistic reason behind no one developing them, but from my experience, would they cost any more to make than a shifter knob?
Lonely wiper blade motor shafts are demanding more attention!~ Sincerely, Lanette
