How to enable, or disable the Automatic Locking Feature on your PT Cruiser:
:A handy feature of the PT Cruiser is the ability for it to automatically lock the doors when you set off on your journey.
Even more handy, is the ability for you to turn this feature on or off without having to take the car back to a main dealer for this setting to be programmed in.
The doors will lock automatically if:
* All doors are closed
* Vehicle speed is above 15 mph
* The accelerator pedal is depressed
The Automatic Door Locks can be enabled or disabled by performing the following procedure (steps 2 and 3 must be completed within 10 seconds):
* Close all doors and place the key in the ignition switch
* Cycle the ignition switch ON/OFF four times ending in the OFF position
* Press the interior door lock switch to the LOCK position
* A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming
You can turn the feature on or off by repeating the above mentioned procedure.
