WVC Cruiser Events:

Hey Everyone,

I have been kicking around the idea for some time now about seeing if I might be able to set up some kind of Event up here in Hemet for us, but I am not quite sure what kind of Event you guys would like to see! Probably nothing too big, and fancy, but a little fun for us PT'ers, and go from their!

I do have a few people including Hemet Chrysler, The City of Hemet, and Saboba Casino, that are interested in putting something together, and I was wondering if you guys might have some ideas for Future Events that we might be able to work towards? A couple of small ideas I had so far was:

1. Depending on if Perris Chrysler was going to do the Creepy Cruise this year, I might to be able to put something together here instead.

2. Or, since the 210 PT Club has apparently broken apart, I was kicking around possibly hosting a Toys for Tots run up here.

Saboba Casino has also expressed an interest in possibly trying to set up an event, which may also work in conjunction with other events going on at the Casino. This would include something like an event surrounding the 4th of July Celebration which actually takes place on the 3rdof July. Every year, they have an outdoor arena with free top name musical entertainment, vendors, and a huge fireworks display, and were kicking around trying to incorporate a PT show around the Casino as part of the festivities. This is just an example of many possibilities that could be done.

Of course smaller events, or Cruises require less work, and might be a possibility, and a bigger event with all the bells, and whistles , could be established for next year. My biggest concern is, I don't anything we were to try to put together, to collide with another Event!

So what are your thoughts on this idea? If we were to try to put something together, what type of Future Event would you like to see?

The 4th of July show at the casino has a nice ring to it Candy. Whatever you decide I'd be glad to lend a hand in helping you pull it off.

Hey Guys,

I sure do appreciate it! I will throw it over to Saboba Monday, and kick it around a little! If I could get something put together, do you think we might be able to get some people on board for an event?

Saboba puts on a pretty good show. Its an all day event, held on every July 3, with lot of Vendors, and games and stuff during the day, and then in the late afternoon they have live free entertainment. The last couple of years they have been doing the throwback to the 70's thing. Last year was Earth Wind and Fire, and the year before that was Rose Royce, and then the Gap Band. Then following the entertainment is a big fireworks display. When I spoke with them last year they loved the idea of a Car Show to give people more to enjoy throughout the day! Chrysler was also very excited at the idea, and was on board for some Event Sponsorship!

It could turn into a cool little event, but I don't have enough PT contacts, or know enough people who would be interested in coming out. But if you guys might be able to get some people excited about it, I should be able to handle everything else! We just need a bunch of cool PT's! please let me know if it sounds like a plan, and meanwhile I'll get the ball rolling here!

We can talk more about it after the River! When you guys are all hanging out with those Strawberry Margarita's, be sure to remember to throw a toast out to the Candyman! Have fun, and bring me back a ton of pictures! I want to put a photoshow up on our HomePage!
