NEW Paso Robles Winery Cruise news...

There's been a little confusion as to the status of the Paso Robles Winery Cruise 2008.

Just so everyone is clear on the Paso Robles event, i sent this email to the Fresno club and a few other people this afternoon. I will send out another email to all the people that have attended in the past once i have more details next week!

I would like to thank the Fresno club for their support over the last 6 years. I understand and respect their concerns regarding the Paso Robles event. Even though this event will no longer be sponsored by the PT Cruiser Club of Central California, I would like to let everyone know that i will continue to organize this event as long as people will attend.

I am in the process of changing a few details about the event for this year but I think you will be very pleased with the activities I have planned. A few new additions will be a cruise to Morro Bay, a Hearst Castle tour and of course wine tasting at several wineries in Paso Robles.

Registration will start in June once I have the date set and all the details in order. The original event date was October 3-5, 2008, however I may change it back to the last weekend in September depending on hotel availability.

I will send out an email and post information on various websites in the PT community next week with the exact dates and schedule of events. I look forward to seeing all my PT friends at this years event. Please contact me if you have any questions and please let your friends know that the Paso Robles event is still alive and back by popular demand!

If you've not been to this event, it's one of the FUNNEST and most laid back events there is...the event isn't expensive and you don't HAVE to drink wine to have fun! The wineries are friendly and certainly easy on the eye. You can't take a bad photo in or around Paso Robles, and the whole experience is well worth the drive to Hwy 46. .....

She has taken the price of gas into consideration, and the wineries are not very far apart. I've seen the intinerary, and it sounds great. If I didn't already have plans for September, I'd be there.

Paso is already in my plans for 2009!

Paso has always been one of my favorite events, it is for sure in one of the most scenic places on earth. And remember, What happens in Paso, stays in Paso. LOL
PS I was told it was off so I cancled my room. Now I need to go back and re-reserve a room at the Adelaid.

Hey Lanette, thanks for posting this here and various other websites, cause I had read that it was possible this wasn't going to happy, so those that have booked their rooms, even though the date might change, will be glad to hear it. I only hope Mike and I will be able to go this year cause it is a great event!! Hugs, Sharon

Hi Bruce and Sharon too....
Yeh, I was afraid that was going to happen. When I got wind of what was happening, I called Stephanie. She was waiting to make sure she could commit to the event, on such a short notice. But with the encouragement of me and few others, she's on track and I just wanted to get the word out.
I hope you didn't have a problem with the room, and I'm sure you'll have a great time.

The first year of the Paso event was SO much fun, I took an old high school girlfriend of mine that lives down in Vista. She enjoyed meeting all my friends and seeing what the whole PT thing was about.

I was really hoping so much that I might be able to make Paso, but its just not meant to be this time. Oh well, Lemoore is just around the corner ;D

Next year for sure! The only thing is, you guys have got to make double sure that their still is an event to go to next year for the old Candyman to come to!

The host hotel will be the Paso Robles Inn www.pasoroblesinn.com. I have blocked 12 Standard rooms at $112.50 and 25 fireplace rooms at $157.50. The hotel has a restaurant, coffee shop and a full bar and a lot of other amenities.
FYI as of 5/27....Rooms are available at the Paso Robles Inn for anyone interested. They will go fast. The hotel is booked full, HOWEVER, our group, the "PT Cruiser Club" still has 30 rooms available to reserve. Give them a call if you still need a room and let them know its under the PT Cruiser Club! Great hotel, restaurant and coffee shop downstairs and full bar upstairs with live music on the weekends. Steph ptlvbug

I also have 20 rooms blocked at the Adelaide Inn www.adelaideinn.comfor $119.00 - Single King and $130 - 2 queens. There is only a few rooms left over there under the block but you may still be able to reserve a room not in the block. Both hotels are under "PT Cruiser club" . I am hoping to block more rooms but we all know about the hotel situation in Paso Robles.

More hotel choices: Motel 6 (don't laugh, the motel is ok and a lot of people have stayed there in the past. $70 approximately. The Hampton Inn (805)-226-9988, Best Western Black Oak [phone] and the Holiday Inn Express [phone]... to name a few.

Here is more hotel information! People are always looking for a room at the last minute so when that happens I have more rooms booked at the Carlton Hotel!
AWESOME HOTEL FOR THE PRICE! I don't think they charge enough but I'm not going to complain. I know the manager and she is very accommodating! 7 miles South of Paso on Hwy 101 in Atascadero. Most people will pass it on Friday. The main street is not as nice as Paso Robles but the hotel definitely makes up for it! Here is the website www.the-carlton.com

This will more than likely be the host hotel next year, with the room rates the same. We will have the entire hotel to ourselves. There is 48 rooms and 2 suites. Special parking roped off and other things in the works.
