Hello Everyone,
I wanted to help pass this information along to try to eliminate some guess work for anyone who at some point would like to replace theis speakers in their PT.
The Speaker Specifications have remained the same throughout the Model changes from 2001 to 2009. The stock sizes are as follows:
1. The Factory Dash Speakers are 3.5
2. The Factory door Speakers are: 6.75 or 6 3/4. 6.5 or 6 1/2 size speakers will fit as well, but may require an adapter plate for proper installation.
WARNING: When looking for replacement door speakers, their are some depth issues on all PT's! Some replacement speakers that have a deeper profile have been known to obstruct the window from working properly. Please consult with a stereo shop, or Manufacturer before purchase!
3. The Factory Rear Speakers located in the rear pillars are: 6 x 8. Some smaller 6 x 9 Speakers will also fit depending on dimensions varying from make, and model. Please consult with a stereo shop, or Manufacturer before purchase!
