Hey Everyone,
Well my friends, When I took my PT down to my buddies place to do some custom metal fab on a couple of our prototype parts were kicking around, I had decided I wanted to install another amp I had, and maybe look at a new capacitor to keep my lights from flashing every time my subs pull too much juice at a stop light! ;D ;D ;D
Anyways, one thing led to another, and things got a little out of hand! We wound up with a top end Clarion Head Unit with the 256 pixel color screen, DVD Control, and the list goes on, a 24 Bit Clarion EQ used as a Pre-amp, a pair of Rockford Fosgate 6 1/2" Component Door Speakers with Crossovers, Rockford Fosgate Aluminum Tweeters mounted in the stock locations in the dash, Rockford Fosgate 6 x 8" rear pillar speakers, another set of Tweeters hidden behind the pillars, two more amps bringing power up to a total 4350 watts! ;D ;D ;D
And all this is run through a 20 farad Capacitor, and yes, I am already running one, and have a second red top Optima Battery to keep things cranking! At least one Amp, and the Chrome Capacitor with Ohm Meter, and LED's will be mounted on a custom beveled, and etched diamond plate mounting bracket, while the other amps will go back under my old subfloor which is also being reworked to house the new equipment and show off some more custom metal work, and a few new Orange LED's to light the night!
I got to hear it a couple of weekends ago on a trip down to the shop, and, only pushing my old 1000 watts off my new Head Unit, man, it was like night and day over my old stock head unit, and boy is it loud! ;D ;D ;D The only thing Ive got to watch now is since my subs are free air ( speaker mounted outside the box) the sheer air pressure generated from the bass at that level could actually break the tempered rear window!
And I'm still wondering how the heck a simple amp install turned into all this! LOL! Anyways, you all take it easy, and I promise I'll try to get some spy pick as soon as I can!
