Well, I've been incognito guys and I'm sorry....but I been havin' some kinda fun!!
I flew to RI and visited Marie Tweety Rossi, and saw the beautiful eastern seaboard of our great United States!! The fall weather stayed great until the last two days I was there, and even THAT was gorgeous!
I've got a few pics in my Photo Bucket section of East Coast 2008, so check it out. Marie was a great host and it was cool spending time with her hubby Jerry, the musician of past and the ever entertaining comic.
We went to the Shore Thing event in Sea Bright, on the shores of New Jersey. If anyone ever says NJ is not pretty, they haven't been there. We had a great time and I had the opportunity to meet many Cruisers that I have been in contact with, and posting along side of, since as early as 2002~ PT Casper, Tinker and PT Pirate. It was an honor and a pleasure to meet them and their families.
Wendy from Australia was there with her family, and the hosting Garden State Crew-zers honored Wendy with the Annual Cappy's Memorial Award....Wendy was loved by Cappy, a few of you might have met Cappy at the San Diego Convention in 2005. He was a gentleman, one of the original Cruisers and a real hot rod guy. He struck up a friendship with Wendy and hubby Andrew, and he would be proud of the GSC's getting to meet her, and see what a gracious lady she is and that she's a real example of International friendship.
All in all it was a wonderul weekend, and a wonderful week. Marie and I rode 2 boats, one in Hyannis Harbor and one in Newport Harbor...seeing how the other 1% lives and has fun in the sun. I had my first Lobster Roll, and probably too much to eat!! There's a Dunkin' Donuts on EVERY corner, so the challenges were many.
So that's my report on Lanette and Marie's East Coast Adventure and thanks for reading!
