Hey Everyone,
A lot of People around the PT Cruiser Community tend to dislike the big wheel gap on the stock PT, but at the same time they don't want to deal with the harsher ride of lowering their ride to the ground. A popular idea is to just lower the back to give it a little more sleeker look without compromising comfort. It is a pretty easy project to pull off yourself with just a little mechanical know how. Here is a quick rundown of how its done.
Simply block up the front tires, then jack up the rear by the axle. place jack stands under a sturdy part of the body not attached to the rear swing arm. disconnect the upper mounts of the rear shocks, then slowly lower the jack until you can wiggle the springs out. swap the isolators on top of the new springs and install is the reverse of removal. Go easy, and enjoy.
