Hello Everyone,
Just in case you ever need, or would like to remove either your front, or back Headrests from your PT, here is a simple "How To" for you to do the job correctly.
Before we begin, It might be very helpful to have a friend assist you if you have trouble, as holding down both tabs on the Headrests and lifting can be a bit tricky yourself, and can bea bit easier to have an extra pair of hands to pull up on the headrest while you are holding down the tabs.
It may also be helpful to have a small Flat Head Screwdriver handy.
Step #1
Raise the headrest to the highest position by depressing the button around the base of the headrest on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Step #2
Switch to the opposite side of the headrest and locate the button on the other headrest post. The passenger side of the headrest has a small tab that is barely visible. Insert the flathead screwdriver, or use your fingernail, to press the tab. While holding the tab, press the other tab and lift the headrest from the seat.
Step #3
Repeat the procedure for all headrests you want to remove. The procedure is the same on the front and rear headrests. Store your headrests in a safe place in case you want to reinstall them.
Go easy, and I will catch you later.
