Hey Everyone,
I am now doing some work with a Gentleman by the name of Ron Osinga AKA " ODaddyO". Ron built a custom 5 Window Coupe out of a 2001 PT in his parents garage at the age of 19! Not only did he completely hand form the complete front end, chop and shorten the roof in half, completely reshape the rear end, rear fenders, and much more all by hand, he completely fiberglassed most all of the interior, and then went and made a really cool 8' totally functional bed that pushes out on 12 Volt actuators, and is strong enough to hold up to 300+ pounds of cargo!
I have buffed this thing out, and can tell you for one thing for sure, this guy can build a car! Though it mat not be quite my style, the quality, and workmanship are top notch! If this guy could build like this by himself in a garage at age 19, I could only wonder what he is capable today! First meet the man, Ron Osinga.
And now check out his Beast which was at the time sitting in my Driveway while I was putting some gloss on that Viper Red paint.
And here is a look at that Bed fully extended out.
You don't see that everyday, right?
Not only has Ron built a pretty cool ride for himself, but now he is actually producing his own parts including the unique front end of which their is now 3 of them produced including two distinctive styles ranging from both a Smoothie, and Bumperette style which are available for the 2001 - 2005 Body Style, one for the newer 2005 - 2010 Body Style, and one for the Convertible. In addition Ron is currently producing a cool custom set of Mirrors, custom rear ends, and much more.
Since I am working with Ron on a few things at the moment, if you have any questions on anything anytime, or would like to get further information on any of his parts, please let me know and I would be happy to get you in touch with him anytime.
Here are a few more photos for you.
Love it or hate it, they are among the very first of new parts to hit the PT Cruiser Seen in a long time, and right now different is kinda cool.
Anyways, again if you would like any information on these parts, please let me know anytime and I will be more than happy to put you in contact with Ron ASAP!
