Hey Everyone,
Here is a quick easy way to get at the Thermostat on an older PT from 2001 - 2005.
Without removing the manifold, pull the two housing bolts, remove the overflow tube, then remove the upper hose clamp and pull the right side of the hose off the radiator. This allowed me to rotate the thermostat housing enough to gently grab the thermostat with a big pair of needle nose pliers, and reverse to install. Not all that hard to do and if I can do it, anyone can.
