Hey their Rick,
Welcome to the Forum! I know of a couple of other PT Guys from up around your neck of the woods.
Sounds like you got one nice Vert, and to answer your question, nope, I haven't seen a Vert in Red with a Sand Top. As you mentioned the vast majority come in black, so I bet that is a cool, and different look on yours.
Again, I thank you for stopping by, and hope to see you around.
Go easy, and I will catch you later.

I'm Peg in southwestern Ontario. I'm a 2001 PT Cruiser owner of less than 48 hours, and I've already had the pleasure of meeting Candyman in the forums :-) I'm sure I'll get even more enthused as time goes by. Previous vehicle, just passed on to a family who plans on doing some restoration, was a 1971 VW van with 420,019 loving miles on her, most of them in the 21 years I drove her.

Hey their Peg, Welcome to my little slice of PT Heaven! ;D I big time appreciate you stopping by here, and of course a huge congrats on your new ride!!!! For the most part, my Forum here tends to seem more like an old Library as it is full of a great deal of good complete information, and somewhat unfortunately tends to stay fairly quiet except for me adding stuff here and their in an attempt to collect, and preserve as much information on anything, and everything PT oriented as much as possible which is why you pretty much see a non stop ocean of my name under almost all 1400 posts and counting. I am still hoping one of these days this place might start to take off again like it once was and become a cool place to hang. I recon time will tell. Anyways, you take care, and I will catch ya later. Candyman

Hey Don. Crewzin here from PT Cruiser Links. The server is acting up pretty bad over there so I had time to come over and register. I received an activation code through email but when I enter it, it says it's invalid.

Enjoy it mate as Candyman is a very handy person when it comes to putting up interesting things and info for us all to absorb and hopefully save us some money doing our own repairs when we can.

I am a new Cruiser owner, as I mention in my powered seat post, I purchased mine from my father. I am a gear head and have to admit that I really wanted to get a sports car, but I had to buy if from my dad and it has a lot of good features. I drive it to work and back every day now which is about 100 miles round trip. I intend on trying to tweak better gas mileage out of it so if anyone has some suggestions let me know. I would also like to put some older style mag wheels on it, the charcoal spoke type but haven't found any yet. My wife seems to be more the street rod type than the sports car type so it might have saved our marriage, not really, but she likes it better than a sports car. Are there any get together's or cruises in the western states, I live in Utah?
