We just watched "The World's Fastest Indian" and WHAT a movie!!! Run, don't walk, and rent the movie, you'll be glad you did. It's about New Zealand's Burt Munro, who built a 1920 Indian motorcycle up, and in his later years made it to Bonneville to break the land speed record.....and went back 9 times after that. By the way, his first visit, he was close to 60 years old. It's heart rendering true story and if you haven't seen, get some popcorn and a cool drink and sit down for a treat. Anthony Hopkins plays Burt.

Hey Everyone,
I'll second that! That is a great Movie, and well worth seeing, and Anthony Hopkins did an excellent job as always!
This Movie isn't about the high tech land speed record pursuers of today! No way! This is about one of the true pioneers of Bonneville, who got on an old Indian Motorcycle, held on for dear life, and rode like hell! It was based on a true story, and he actualy broke a ton of records! Definitely a must see!
Thanks for posting it Lannete! ;D

You're welcome Candy....I really don't know HOW this movie slipped under the radar with me, I think I was having too much fun in '05 when it came out. It seems like I remember the trailer, but man, it sure took me a long time to see it.
I'll have to ask Ray @ PTeazer about ol' Burt....I bet he knows a thing or two about him.
